Hi. I'm Vicky - the artist behind Art by Vicky Whitlam.

I create quirky, colourful animal paintings and bespoke pet portraits designed to capture personality, not just appearance. Each piece is full of character, some with bold colours and playful details that bring animals to life in a unique and joyful way.

I'm a self taught artist from Yorkshire, who for many years has worked as a self employed picture framer and photographer but have in the last few years taken up my paint brushes once again to create my loveable animal paintings. What started as a creative outlet quickly grew into a passion for painting animals - especially the little expressions and traits that make each one completely individual. I love turning those details into artwork that feels personal, fun and full of life.

I work primarily in acrylic because the quick drying time suits my style of painting. Overtime I've been lucky enough to create pieces for collectors and pet owners across the UK. There's nothing more rewarding than knowing my work holds a special meaning - whether it's celebrating a beloved pet, a memory or simply a love of animals.

Over the last few years I have also utilised my skills to create gift and homeware products which I sell at local markets and in a few selective shops in and around the Yorkshire area (if you would like to stock my art and products then please feel free to contact me).
